There are many ways to achieve a monochrome convertion. What I actually do is Photoshop CS2, Image + Mode + Grayscale, once the B/W convertion is done, go back again and do the same process, but instead of Grayscale go to Duotone.
Select the B/W ink and Pantone Pastel Coated. Click ok, the play with the levels and contrast, ect...
Thats the way I do it. If theres another simple way to do it, I don't know. I hope it helps.
