I've been trying to get a job since last Christmas, here in North America. It has been really hard, I dunno if its a racial thing or not. They don't want to give me a job unless you are "qualified" to put "bolts" or "screws", or maybe cables. I had done pretty much everything about work, except prostitution. LOL From manufacturing electronics, blue prints, testing, visual inspection, to cleaning the streets of my town with a broom.

I like this place (New England) but for job opportunities, you will have to move to other state or just move down to the nearest bridge. Its been good and sucky. But I have to say that I enjoy every moment of my life with my fiancée. She’s been really awsome to me, she is really cool!

Even though Puerto Rico is a Common Wealth "State", culture here is VERY different. For example, the hypocrisy! I dunno how can they smile to you, when they really hate you. No wonder Europe hates America. Getting use to the cold is was matter of time. Thank God I got here in summer last year (2008), that buy me time to get use to the cold -0 weather. That’s the only thing I love about living in the northeast of America... I guess! I had a few bad experience in the snow, like having your car stock (buried) in the snow, trying to fix a glass from a window of your car in a cold-rainy day in Christmas Eve, but hey! I'm alive, and so is Carmen.

"En resumidas cuentas" (in other words) It’s been a good time here in the US, tons of new experience and a few bad ones.
So I’m just going to keep filling more applications from those sucky-staffing-agencies. Fill this, fill that and no job. Had a hard time also to get unemployment. But you know… whatever.
I also hope for the new “historical” President of US to get more jobs opportunities. Get me a job man!!! Jeeez!

I miss my family so much, specially my niece. I love you baby!

The weather and the attitude of some of our residents can take a lot of getting used to. Keep pushing and don't let them get you down brother. If you were closer I would suggest checking into work as a translator for one of the local factories (not sure of the work available where you are though). There're always adds in our local papers for qualified (bilingual) people so if you haven't tried that avenue, maybe it's worth a shot.

Take care and remember that Spring is only a short time away!

Once upon a time a wanted to know what love was. Love is there if you wanted to be. You just have to see thats its there wrap in beauty and seconds away from your life. If you don't stop for a minute, you might miss it.
